About LawMasters

In today's global economy and legal environment, more and more
lawyers from abroad are studying law in the United States. They may return to their home
countries or remain in the United States, or shuttle back and forth between countries. In
any case, gaining admission to the bar in the United States is often a necessary tool to
enhancing their practice of law.LawMasters provides
specialized interdisciplinary, cross-cultural training for foreign lawyers and law
students to help them pass an American bar exam.
American bar exams are already a forbidding experience for
students who are trained in the United States. For students who have studied in another
country, including civil law countries, American bar exams are an impossible task if
approached incorrectly.
Secondly, foreign law students who have trained in a civil
law jurisdiction need to understand how certain common law concepts work.
Foreign candidates may also have special language needs, in
reading comprehension and in writing. For example, bar exams are full of American
colloquial expressions.
LawMasters provides class sessions and individual tutorials
in the following areas:
1. comparative bar law,
2. law subject linkage,
3. essay writing,
4. Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) practice,
5. the performance test, where applicable,
6. writing practice and grading,
7. time management, and
8. holistic and effective study scheduling and organization.
You may sign up for our group sessions or for
individualized tutoring, or both. Sessions are available in various locations. If desired,
confidentiality of candidates is also granted.
Instructors for LawMasters are highly qualified. They are
either admitted to practice in both an American and foreign jurisdiction or teach at an
American law school. They have experience with foreign law jurisdictions and are attentive
to the special needs of foreign law students. They speak several foreign languages also.
